Homemade Pumpkin Cream

minutesThis is a Kilgus Farmstead seasonal favorite that we use in our Country Store soft serve machine. Now for you to try at home!
Ingredients
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
1/2 cup brown sugar
2/3 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
A pinch of nutmeg
A pinch of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/3 cup heavy cream
1 1/3 cup whole milk
Directions
- Before begging, make sure the ice cream maker is fully frozen and prepared.
- Combine dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl (preferably one with a pourable spout).
- Add vanilla extract and gradually stir in the liquid ingredients ending with the canned pumpkin. Finish by whisking the mixture making sure that the spices and sugar are evenly distributed.
- Pour the ice cream mixture into the ice cream machine following the manufacturer’s specified instructions. Churning takes about 30mins.
- Serve immediately as soft-serve or freeze in a freezer-safe container.
Notes
- Recipe is intended for a 1.5 quart ice cream machine.
