🌻 Spring has arrived at Kilgus Farmstead 🌻
…and with it comes a new season of farm tours, community events, seasonal treats, and fresh happenings around the Country Store. We’re grateful for your support and look forward to sharing another season with you on the farm.

🐂 2026 Breakfast on the Farm
One of our favorite traditions each year is hosting Breakfast on the Farm, and we truly look forward to welcoming our community out to the farm for this special morning. It’s a chance for us to share what we do, connect with families, and celebrate June Dairy Month together.
Event Details:
- Date: Saturday, June 13th
- Time: 7am – 10am
- Location: Kilgus Farmstead
Guests can enjoy a farm-fresh breakfast for just $1 per plate, served by the Livingston County Farm Bureau Young Leaders, with all proceeds supporting local food pantries.
Beyond breakfast, we open up the farm for self-guided tours, kids’ activities, and opportunities to learn more about dairy farming and local agriculture. It’s a simple, meaningful way for us to invite people in and share a little piece of farm life.
We hope you’ll join us for a relaxed, welcoming morning here at Kilgus Farmstead. Bring the family and come hungry, you will leave happy!

🌱 Spring Tours at the Farm
Spring is one of our favorite times of year to welcome visitors out to the farm. As everything starts to green up and the animals return to pasture, it’s a great opportunity to slow down, take a walk, and see what daily life looks like here at Kilgus Farmstead.
Our Spring Farm Tours are a chance for us to share what we do, answer questions, and connect with families in a simple, hands-on way. You’ll get a closer look at our animals, learn about our farming practices, and experience the farm in a relaxed, real setting.
Tours are available by appointment throughout the season and are designed to be enjoyable for both kids and adults.
We always appreciate the chance to open the gates and share a little piece of farm life with you.

🎉 A New Space to Gather
Over the years, one of the things we’ve come to appreciate most is the chance to bring people together here at the farm. Whether it’s tours, events, or simply a visit to the Country Store, those connections are what make this place special.
We’re excited to now offer a new event space for gatherings of all kinds. It’s a simple, welcoming spot where families, friends, and groups can come together — whether you’re celebrating a graduation, hosting a shower, or planning a meeting.
The space includes tables, seating, and access to a kitchen, and is available to reserve for both half-day and full-day rentals.
It’s another way for us to open up the farm and share it with the community, and we’re looking forward to seeing how it becomes part of your celebrations and gatherings.

🔥 Smoked Meats, Ready When You Are
One of the things we’re always working toward is making it easier to bring good, farm-raised food to your table — even on the busiest days.
Our smoked pulled pork and brisket are a simple way to do just that. They’re fully cooked, frozen for freshness, and ready to heat and serve whenever you need them.
Made with Kilgus Farmstead meats and slow-smoked for rich, savory flavor, they’re perfect to keep on hand for quick dinners, gatherings, or whenever you want something satisfying without the extra prep.
It’s real farm flavor, made a little more convenient for everyday life — especially when paired with some of the delicious local BBQ sauces we carry in the Country Store.

🌳 Mulch Season Is Here
As the weather warms up and yards start coming back to life, it’s always exciting to see those first spring projects take shape. Fresh mulch is one of the simplest ways to refresh your space, and we’re glad to have it available again for the season.
Our bulk landscaping mulch is ready for pickup or delivery, making it easy to take on anything from a small touch-up to a full yard refresh.
It’s one more way we’re able to support the work happening at home this time of year — and we always enjoy seeing how it helps bring your outdoor spaces together.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day Weekend at the Country Store
Memorial Day weekend always brings a mix of reflection, time with family, and the start of summer here at the farm. It’s a slower, meaningful time, and we’re glad to be part of your weekend traditions.
If you’re stopping by, we’ll have a few ice cream specials ready to enjoy — from a classic vanilla with sprinkles, to the fun favorite “The Cow Jumped Over the Blue Moon,” along with fresh strawberry and raspberry gelato flavors to brighten up your visit.
