Every June for dairy month Kilgus Farmstead, with the help of the Livingston County Farm Bureau Young Leaders, hosts Breakfast on the Farm. It’s our way of celebrating the local farmers, community, and dedicated patrons.
Join us for a delicious breakfast of biscuits and gravy, eggs, milk, juice, or coffee — all for just $1 a plate!
We will also be giving farm tours, fun and games for the kids, and not to mention all the good company for the adults!
Event Details:
- Date: Saturday, June 10th
- Time: 7am – 10am
- Location: Kilgus Farmstead
We look forward to this epic event every year so be sure to spread the word and bring your herd — the family and friends that is; the cows can stay at home!
The Kilgus Creamline Blog – Milk 101 Updates
Last fall we launched our blog and kicked it off with the Milk 101 series. We shared a lot of interesting information about milk and milk production. It was such a hit that we decided to expand the series.
In particular, we add a section on fortification in Milk 101, a homogenization section in Milk 102, and lastly, a completely new section Milk 105: Purchasing & Storage Tips.
We hope you find the added information useful and we think anyone who purchases dairy products will find many helpful suggestions in the new Milk 105.
If you have a subject or topic of interest that you would like to see in a future blog post please let us know. We’d be delighted to cover what you find both interesting and informative. We want to know what mooooves you!
