Simple, fast, and easy, this whipped cream recipe will knock the socks off your guest! It’s the perfect topping for berries, pancakes, and will make any morning coffee simply decadent.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 Tbsp confectioners’ sugar*

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

  • In a chilled medium mixing bowl, whip only the cream with an electric mixer on medium-high for about 1-2 minutes or until it starts to get frothy.
  • Add the sugar and vanilla to the cream. Continue to whip the mixture until it thickens into a whipped cream texture with light fluffy peaks. Be careful not to overdo the beating or it will curdle the cream. If that happens, fold in fresh cream by hand until it balances it out.
  • Dollop atop your favorite dish!

Notes

  • If you don’t have confectioners’ sugar on hand you can use powdered sugar or granular sugar. Note that granular sugar may add a slight grittiness to the whipped cream’s texture especially if you are making a double batch or larger quantity.
